Recently my computer got nuked because of harddisk encryption. The upside to this is a ‘new’ computer. So new that I have to reinstall my Android drivers. When I connected my phone, I accidentally chose the wrong Windows driver. There are 4 Samsung Electric company.
The end result is that my phone is not recognized by Fastboot. There is no menu option to choose another driver.
A quick Google leads to USBDeview. A standalone graphical utility that can delete Windows driver association. You need to plug and unplug to identify the correct entry, choose ‘uninstall’ and you are done!
Now to choose the second Samsung ADB driver for Fastboot access.
