Aquaman 2 or Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a sequel to the highly popular Aquaman 2018.
That is till the court proceedings of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp made the news.
News of her continuing role in the sequel was not well received and then COVID-19 hit. After delays for re-shoots and editing the movie was released on 22 Dec 23.
The film centered around the efforts of Black Mamba for revenge for the killing of his father. While that is going on, Aquaman is balancing the duties of ruler of the oceans with being a new dad.
Overall the movie, pacing was ok, and it wasn’t draggy. The action sequences were tight. Ultimately, I felt that this movie with a budget of US$215 million, didn’t impress me. It felt very run-of-the-mill.
