Alfred's New Ramblings

Keep track of your achievements

Keep track of your achievements for your next performance appraisal, more importantly your next job interview.

Create and maintain a spreadsheet of your achievements. Important info includes customer or key user name, dollar value, man hours or scale. Dollar value for project managers, for engineers or programmers number of network rooms, APs, lines of code/routines/commits etc. Remember to highlight which project you want to share.

Bonus points if you can include the champion/owner or supervisors.

For the next job interview, besides showing off skills and handling complexity and scale, you can drop one or two names. Everyone loves a candidate is situationally aware rather than a frog in a well.
