Nothing Phone 3a is the next phone after the Poco X3 NFC.
Both of my phones are showing their age. The Poco M3 is running out of memory running banking apps. The main phone, Poco X3 with an unlocked bootloader, rooted and upgraded continuously, the screen is displaying green lines, and the volume control is iffy. At least after a battery replacement, it now lasts a day.
After much deliberation, I selected Nothing Phone 3a as the world of unlocking bootloaders suddenly became very small. If I don’t root it, at least I won’t be stuck with lots of useless apps. I have slowly migrated the banking apps over. The only remaining app on the M3 that left me stumped is WeChat. I have forgotten the WeChat password, and the phone Iine I used to sign on with is long gone.
I will need to transfer WhatsApp and Google location history/timeline from the main phone to the Nothing Phone. WhatsApp is easy but time-consuming. Google location/timeline is trickier as I am doing a downgrade in Android version that Maps don’t like.
The main phone will be relegated to a proxy role of loading pictures to Google Photos.
