I was trying to access the SharePoint server but my IE simply could not connect.\u00a0 So time to check out the server.<\/p>\n

The application log was full of red lights.\u00a0 Error 6482 and 7076 filled the log for every other minute.\u00a0 Not good.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Googling on 7076 got me a couple of hotfixes.\u00a0 Ok lets try, the error description looks similar, but the hotfix won’t install. Hmmm.\u00a0\u00a0 The Control Panel says there are two versions of .Net framework installed.<\/p>\n

I took out .Net Framework 3.0 and the number error events dropped.\u00a0 Now for the 6482.\u00a0 Sounds like a permission error.<\/p>\n
