I hate giving tips to tour guides.\u00a0 What’s up with this practice.\u00a0 The guide takes you from tourist trap to another where you will be fleeced and the guide gets a kick back.\u00a0 I am expected to give a tip for all this?<\/p>\n

Until I visited South Korea.<\/p>\n

The Tour guides, one main guy and his 2 assistants (1 assistant and 1 intern) really work hard for their money.\u00a0 Yes they took us from one tourist trap to another.<\/p>\n

Unlike other countries, the assistants load the group’s luggage into the coach hold, the coach driver just stand around looking cool.\u00a0 In addition, the tour guides serves the group during lunch and dinner!\u00a0 This practise was mind blowing to me.\u00a0 In most countries, during meal times, the restaurant’s helpers takes care of the groups.\u00a0 In this case were the guides.\u00a0 May be it was due to the language barrier?<\/p>\n
