I was exploring the technology of self publishing using MovableType .\u00a0 All my previous experience with web content creation were through the atrocious FrontPage and Adobe Dreamweaver.<\/p>\n<p>The concept of putting all that code on the web server and have it generate all the web pages for you were at the very least technically interesting.\u00a0 For non techy casual web content creaters, a god send.\u00a0 And blogging took off.\u00a0 This is my first <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blog\/2006\/08\/athena_drinking_from_bottle_of.html\" target=\"_blank\">official post <\/a>on then Movable Type 3.1<\/p>\n<p>I stayed with MovableType as long as I could.\u00a0 In the end the writing was on the wall.\u00a0 To keep the internal links updated, I have to regularly re-pubish the whole site.\u00a0 I finally moved over to WordPress on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/2009\/01\/new-blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">1 Jan 2009<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That is the day when WordPress is 10 years old.\u00a0 I started playing on and off with web logs in 2002. \u00a0 At that time web logs or blogging was in its infancy.
