{"id":2842,"date":"2014-03-31T12:03:38","date_gmt":"2014-03-31T04:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.per.sg\/blogger\/?p=2842"},"modified":"2023-04-14T17:59:44","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T09:59:44","slug":"install-miui-samsung-note-2-lte-gt-n7105","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/2014\/03\/install-miui-samsung-note-2-lte-gt-n7105\/","title":{"rendered":"How to install MIUI on Samsung Note 2 LTE GT-N7105"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/MIUI_V5_screenshot_en.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2846\" src=\"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/MIUI_V5_screenshot_en-277x494.png\" alt=\"MIUI V5 screenshot\" width=\"277\" height=\"494\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/MIUI_V5_screenshot_en-277x494.png 277w, https:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/MIUI_V5_screenshot_en-105x188.png 105w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 277px) 100vw, 277px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had a request to replace Samsung&#8217;s stock Android with MUI on a Note 2 LTE (N-7105). \u00a0MIUI is a flavour of Android that runs on Xiaomi range of phones. \u00a0Its UI is very much like Apple&#8217;s IOS. \u00a0There is no application drawer and all apps installed appear on the home screen.<\/p>\n<p>The first source I hit was the MIUI forums, which are very active. \u00a0There are several ROM developers with their own threads. \u00a0Unfortunately, their opening posts (OP) are terrible. \u00a0There is no clear documentation on the steps and tools required. \u00a0 Especially if you are starting from stock Samsung. \u00a0After much searching, I found a few procedures for Samsung S4, so I thought it should work. \u00a0And it did.<\/p>\n<h2>Installing MIUI v5 on Samsung Note 2 LTE GT-N7105<\/h2>\n<p>The basic steps are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Root the phone<\/li>\n<li>Backup the EFS folder<\/li>\n<li>Install recovery manager\n<ol>\n<li>I used CWM, it may be possible to use TWRP<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Flash MIUI<\/li>\n<li>Flash G Apps.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The details:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Install Odin on your computer. (<a href=\"http:\/\/forum.xda-developers.com\/galaxy-s2\/general\/guide-t2345831\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Install Samsung USB apps.
