{"id":292,"date":"2009-07-01T23:36:42","date_gmt":"2009-07-01T15:36:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.per.sg\/blogger\/?p=292"},"modified":"2016-01-02T19:59:10","modified_gmt":"2016-01-02T11:59:10","slug":"troubleshooting-outlook-anywhere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/2009\/07\/troubleshooting-outlook-anywhere\/","title":{"rendered":"Troubleshooting Outlook Anywhere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently I have a problem with Outlook Anywhere.\u00a0 Outlook Web Access (OWA) works fine.\u00a0 It is simply not possible get Outlook connected from inside or outside the office.\u00a0 This is for Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Outlook Anywhere or Outlook RPC over HTTP relies on OWA\u00a0 to work.\u00a0 So if OWA works, then it should work or something else right?<\/p>\n<p>After a long sequence of troubleshooting, including reinstall RPC over HTTP and changing of certificates.\u00a0 The root cause of the problem was in the IIS,\u00a0 rpcproxy.dll has a redirect installed.\u00a0 It was redirected to the OWA main page. Removing the redirect and the Outlook Anywhere connected smoothly.<br \/>\nHow to view Outlook connections without restarting Outlook. <a href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/bb123650(EXCHG.65).aspx\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a> Note in the picture, it shows the connection as HTTPS.
