CM12 nightly is here!!! This was announced \u00a0on 5 Jan 14. \u00a0This is the official nightly from CyanogenMod. \u00a0The OnePlus One Cyanogen version CM12s is suppose to arrive in Feb 15. \u00a0Only time will tell.<\/p>\n
During the Christmas break I took some time to test drive various builds of CM12, LiquidSmooth and Daleski75. \u00a0These are nightlies so bugs are expected. \u00a0There were no crashes but my battery drain sometimes goes nuts. \u00a0I was bearing with it until in Jan 15, it turns out a new driver for radio is required.<\/p>\n
Without the new driver, the proximity switch will not work, so the screen stays on during a call. \u00a0 \u00a0I am leery of flashing modem drivers after the Samsung S2 experience.<\/a>\u00a0 The modem software generally stays after subsequent build flashes. So I jump back to stock KitKat, 44s. \u00a0Later I found to get back to modem stock, flash the “NON-HLOS.bin” file.<\/p>\n Other issues I found was the softer mic and swap position of volume keys in landscape mode.<\/p>\n In the meantime the nightlies was pulled on 13 Jan when it was found after encryption to brick devices with TWRP. \u00a0 \u00a0Regular nightlies service are slowly being restored. \u00a016 Jan build contain at least 3 pages of fixes.<\/p>\n I think I am going to sit out the CM12 nightlies for the next few weeks. \u00a0May be till cm12s is out<\/p>\n <\/p>\n TL;DR: \u00a0I am going to wait for CM12s<\/p>\n CM annoucement<\/a> \u00a0XDA\u00a0thread<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" CM12 nightly is here!!!
