Good chance you will be bring your smartphone along. \u00a0For Facebook, WhatsApp etc.Use it to document your trip and not just for photos.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Using Google Maps, star the locations you are at. \u00a0If you are visiting the same place again, drop a comment.\u00a0Later when you are back home, review your locations visited at Google Bookmarks. \u00a0Be careful labelling \u00a0the locations using this screen, as it will change the date and potentially the order of visit.<\/p>\n<p>If you want a higher \u00a0level of detail, use Google My Tracks. \u00a0This will boost the accuracy and frequency of Location History checkpoints. \u00a0The exact path traveled can be seen in Google Maps Timelines. \u00a0Remember \u00a0to sync with Google Drive to backup \u00a0the database! \u00a0It is not kept in the Storage \u00a0folder. \u00a0I lost mine through a factory reset.<\/p>\n<p>Above all, remember to tear your eyes away from the screen and enjoy yourself!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/bookmarks\" target=\"_blank\">Bookmarks<\/a>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com.sg\/maps\/timeline?hl=en&amp;authuser=0\" target=\"_blank\">Timeline<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Edit: Google Mytracks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2016\/01\/29\/rip-google-my-tracks-app\/\" target=\"_blank\">will be stopped<\/a> on 30 Apr 16. \u00a0You will have to use any of the fitness apps, export and import into Google Maps.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Going for a holiday?
