I have always used Llama a location-based\u00a0action app since the Samsung Galaxy SII days.\u00a0 That is approximately in 2012.\u00a0 From the OnePlus One to the current OnePlus 3T.\u00a0 That is when everything fell apart.<\/p>\n

Llama is a location-based\u00a0action app.\u00a0 It detects the location by using cell tower information passively and then perform an action.\u00a0 Change sound, turn on Wifi, launch an application etc.\u00a0 This is great when you need a loud tone for commute and soft whisper for the office.\u00a0 All this is done seamlessly in the background.<\/p>\n

As you can see the UI is clean and simple.\u00a0 No programming like Tasker required.\u00a0 This is even simpler than a new app called e-Robot.\u00a0 The downside is that Llama’s developer stopped support sometime in 2014.<\/p>\n

The Samsung S2 and the OnePlus One are both single SIM phones.\u00a0 The 3T is a dual SIM phone.\u00a0 When removing the SIM tray it will cause the Llama to stop reading cell data.\u00a0 No cell data, the whole app stops working.\u00a0 The only way to fix this is to factory reset.\u00a0 Reinstalling the app, clearing caches doesn’t fix this.\u00a0 In addition, Llama has the side effect of causing the 3T kernel to crash.<\/p>\n

After much heartbreaking install, wipe and reinstall and with the growing trend of dual sim phones, I have decided to uninstall it permanently.<\/p>\n

Now I am using WiFi Automatic.\u00a0 This app has much-reduced functionality, but at least it helps me to avoid blowing my\u00a0mobile data quota.\u00a0 The sound volume I have to do this manually.<\/p>\n
