{"id":4320,"date":"2018-08-30T17:55:22","date_gmt":"2018-08-30T09:55:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alfredivy.per.sg\/blogger\/?p=4320"},"modified":"2024-05-15T15:27:37","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T07:27:37","slug":"android-pie-and-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alfredivy.sg\/blogger\/2018\/08\/android-pie-and-apps\/","title":{"rendered":"Android Pie and unknown apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am trying to avoid a click-bait title.\u00a0 Some apps are breaking on Android Pie or Android 9<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><del>F-Droid\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Unable to assign &#8220;Unknown apps&#8221; permission, because it does not appear in the list.<\/del><\/p>\n<p>ES File Manager &#8211; same as above<\/p>\n<p>Wifi Automatic &#8211;\u00a0 Cannot turn on\/off Wifi<\/p>\n<p>Tap&#8217;n&#8217;Turn &#8211;\u00a0 After screen lock, it is unable to rotate the screen<\/p>\n<p><del>Jabra Assist &#8211; Crash on launch<\/del><\/p>\n<p>Android Pie is currently cutting-edge software, so some apps breaking or &#8216;bleeding&#8217; is to be expected.\u00a0 The issue that most concerns me is that the app must be recognized by Android to be able to given permission.
