In particular the iPhone, and the new iPad. This is particularly obvious in Australia, where it seems you are the odd one out if you <em>don&#8217;t<\/em> have an iPhone. But just how many are they moving? Well according to RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky <em>(source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2010\/05\/20\/analyst-apple-selling-more-ipads-than-macs-at-the-moment\/\">http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2010\/05\/20\/analyst-apple-selling-more-ipads-than-macs-at-the-moment\/<\/a>),<\/em> Apple is now moving over <strong>200,000 iPads,<\/strong> along with <strong>246,000 iPhones,<\/strong> and a combined total of <strong>110,000 Macs&#8230;<\/strong> per <em><strong>week.<\/strong><\/em> Excluding the iPod (figures are hard to find), Apple&#8217;s total weekly sales of <strong>all<\/strong> it&#8217;s major devices is just over <strong>550,000.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Android, in cellphones alone, is over <strong>700,000<\/strong> per week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Seems that the Android powered phones are really zooming up the chart. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/buzz\/the.joe.lancaster\/HwatDYGMRGm\/OMG-is-the-only-way-to-describe-the-following-data\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Both phones have captured the interests of the jaded smartphone users and at the same time creating a new revenue stream, selling phone applications.\u00a0 iPhone through the iTunes store and Android the App Market deliver little programs or Apps that performs a wide variety of functions.\u00a0 Play a wood wind instrument, eating guide, games etc.<\/p>\n<p>There is only a catch.\u00a0 The user have to spend a lot of time using the phone.<\/p>\n<p>I have neither phone, currently a Nokia E71 user.\u00a0 I was extremely surprised that I could not send a vCard aka business card to an iPhone user via SMS.\u00a0 Onfurther research it seems that that function is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iphonefaq.org\/archives\/97417\" target=\"_blank\">not available<\/a> (1.1.4) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/forum\/p\/android\/thread?tid=27bdaf137dc4320b&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">similarly on <\/a>Andriod. \u00a0 This <a href=\"http:\/\/theappleblog.com\/2009\/01\/12\/11-vcard-sharing-apps-for-the-iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">list <\/a>of iPhone apps can sooth the pain somewhat.
