Downloading of media, used to be a headache. You need to manually search for the torrent, download and arrange for it to be streamed. Now with *arrs, all this can be automated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The recommended folder tree is as listed. Download folder is where qbitorrent will deposit the downloaded media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media > Download<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media > Radarr<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media > Sonarr<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radarr\/Sonarr handles media management, moving\/copying media from qbitorrent into proper naming structures. Jellyfin does the end-user management and plays the media<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start off the installation process, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Install Prowlarr, as central point to manage all the torrents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Install Radarr (movies), Sonarr (TV series), select install as a service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Install qbitorrent and enable remote access<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Integrate Prowlarr with Radarr\/Sonarr using the API keys.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    All the *rrs communicate using API calls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. In Prowlarr, under Settings\/General, copy the API key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Add the different indexers as desired, eg, TV, movies, anime, kdrama etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. In Radarr\/Sonarr, add the indexer\/s, pointing to Prowlarr URL and port.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Paste Prowlarr’s API Key, Test and click Save.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. In Radarr\/Sonarr, add the download client and enter the web admin user name and password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Jellyfin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Install Jellyfin, create libraries point to Radarr\/Sonarr media folders. In Settings\/Transcoding, enable “Hardware Acceleration” for a smoother play back. Add the plugin for subtitles and use OpenSubtitles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to use.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Add the desired movie\/ show to Radarr\/Sonarr, it will auto download. I have added a cap on the maximum file size, or it might download 18GB file. After downloading, Radarr\/Sonarr will copy the media file\/s from Download over to its folder. In a few minutes, Jellyfin will pick it up and add into the web portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Playback is a simple matter of accessing the Jellyfin web portal and choose the media you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
