I discovered it is very easy to fill up the hard disk with movies.  Sometimes with the wrong resolution or sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I decided to move the media folders off the main hard disk to a portable disk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Replicate the media  folders\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>robocopy \/j &lt;old location&gt; &lt;new location&gt;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use xcopy to replicate the files.  This can take a few hours to another day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update the new locations in Jellyfin libraries and restart Jellyfin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update the new locations in Radarr\/Sonarr Settings.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Settings\/Media Management, scroll down to Root Folders. Add a new root folder to the new path.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update the new locations for the media Radarr\/Sonarr web page\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At the home screen, click on Edit movies (Select for Sonarr) icon on the top, then check select All<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the bottom window, click on the Edit icon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the pop up window, Root Folder, select the new path. Click Apply Changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When prompted to include moving of media, Select \u201cMove myself\u201d and click ok.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait for the Radarr\/Sonarr to complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on any media to check, it should be pointing to the new location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Migrating your media store before the hard disk full.
