Alfred's New Ramblings

In Conversation 67

The fluorescent light in the toilet died, and I replaced it with a standby tube. I bought an LED drop-in replacement 12W for the 22W tube. We turned the light on and off so much that the replacement was slowly dying.

Me: “Did they teach on how lights?”

Son: “The lights are DC powered, emergency lights are battery powered”

Me: “When the light in the toilet dies again, this LED light is going to replace it”

Son: “Oh you are going to change it?”

Me: “Oh no! I have retired from this. You are going to do it.”

Dau: “So you are going to make use of his health plan!!!”

Just as I expected, the light died, and he went up on the step ladder to change it. Attaching the light is easy, as it is magnetic. The change of the Live, Neutral and Earth wires to 2 tiny wire was confusing at first. Poking around with a test pen set things right. All done in few minutes.
