Alfred's New Ramblings

AI translation of Homer’s Odyssey

Robert Graham (@robertgraham) on Twitter has made a AI translation of Homer’s Odyssey. He wanted a version as authentic as possible but with some aids for the readers. Not everyone is familiar with Greek mythology.

The output was 22 files in MarkDown format. I converted these into PDF and merged into a single epub. This would have been a simple matter of selecting multiple source files and select convert to PDF. Stirling PDF decided to have brain fart and only convert the first file. In the end I converted each file to PDF and in the second stage combine to a single PDF. From there is a simple matter of adjusting the bookmarks and convert to epub.

Read about his project here. My files are also on Github
