The Google Account is used for email, online storage, photos, passwords, navigation, videos etc Now if you are using one this service and accidentally violates the Terms Of Service (TOS), the whole account gets disabled. And you lose everything. With the trend of apps using email address as a login account, you lose access to your apps too.
There were lots of posts on Reddit. Some accounts were disabled due to baby photos, some due to storage of adult materials, some were due to AI scanning errors. The end result is the same.
After some consideration, I have decided to store my new photos in another Google Account to diversify the risk. Aside from Gmail, this is the most actively used part of my account.
Two months later, that account was unexpectedly disabled for an alleged violation the TOS. I filed an appeal and it was approved after a day, restoring access.
